That thing is impressive! I googled gar once and saw a 365lb record caught bowfishing- check it out... I thought it was 11 feet?

It was actually caught in a net. The guy was commercial netting for freshwater drum. He was interviewed by MS Sportsman, here is the full story:
Vicksburg fisherman lands 327-pound alligator gar, sets unofficial record - Mississippi Sportsman The LA Times article is ridiculous, nothing against itsjust.mark for posting it though. To LA Times: unfortunately, I don't think IGFA has a gill net category
