This section has been quiet for a while so ill post report from this last weekend. Headed out Friday to look for some cobia. Made it to a rig in 100ft that usually holds a ling or two and jumped in. Visibility was great for the first 40ft and then it dropped to next to nothing so we spent most of our time in the top 40ft. No Cobia but did fill the cooler with mangroves, triggers, sheepshead and spadefish. Took a bunch of video too. The barracuda were pretty active, they were darting in and out of all the spadefish trying to get one but I never saw them make a kill. Seas were calm and it was another great day on the water. Sorry I hadn't checked this thread in a while either. I'm from New Albany, MS. Outside Tupelo. I teach diving up here so Im starting to get a few folks interested in the sport and of course my favorite side of it. My brother lives in Sarasota and has a boat there so we go down a lot but sadly never dived off our coast. I hear the rigs are great for shooting !
