I noticed after I posted that, the price is going to be 216.00 for awhile but I wouldn't count on it.

It however does away with the PST and Worthington EXEMPTION issue. When Either one of those companies go away so do the authorization for rehydro.

If I had the cash I would buy these and sell these E-series tanks.

The description says its rated at 3180psi with a 10% overfill of 3498. which keep sit below a DIN only valve reg. of 3500psi, But I was under the impression a LP cyclinder was a 2400psi with a 10% overfill which would make it 2650psi right?

granted, it very tempting none the less to buy one at that price. Hell you could buy it, use it for a year and sell it for a profit next Christmas time.

Yeah, those are HP120's not LP120's. Still not a bad deal.

Here are the specs comparing it to an E7:

Manufacturer & Nominal Capacity Service pressure, psi Actual air capacity, cu. Ft. (at +10%) Outer diameter, in Length without valve, in Empty weight, lbs Buoyancy Empty, lbs (w/valve) Buoyancy Full, lbs (w/valve)
Faber 120 3180 +10% 120 7.25 28.64 48.3 -7.22 -16.22
PST E7-120 3442 PSI 120 7.25 28.25 38 0 -10.5

It's certainly heavy like a LP tank- but about the size as the HP120.

Talked to the guy. These are MID pressure tanks not LP or HP smaller valve stem...basically a HP with a smaller valve stem

The only downside I see is that you'll need to get the '+' done every hydro. The '+' (10% overfill), contrary to conventional wisdom, can be done at every hydro, not just the original.

They have a regular 3/4 valve thread on them, here are the specs from Blue Steel.

Does anybody know what kind of DOT stap these have?

the exemption does not depend on the company staying in business. there is a provision for owners to have it extended should they go under.

Please show it to me. I have hunted through the Hazmat site till my eyes were bleeding.

Or are you referring to someone or entity having the ability to apply for the permit (as a company) to continue the use of the cylinders? Lengthy and expensive.

I'll see if I can find it. This was a while back, when there was a lot of concern that PST might go under, so maybe 2 years or so?
