I am looking at getting the Oceanic Atom 2 air integrated, hoseless dive computer. I know there are a lot of people who run dive shops on the board and was wondering what your best price on one would be. I live in West Palm and will drive a reasonable distance or pay shipping and handleing fees. Any help would be appreciated.

Just wondering...why did you choose the atom over a suunto d9, or other hoseless computer? I am looking for one, but have not decided which one to get.

I would never buy a Suunto. A buddy has one and it is so damned conservative its rediculous IMHO. My best friend has the atom and loves it....so basically I know what I get with the Atom. Also the main reason I am looking for this computer is that it has an advanced freedive mode which prevents me from having to buy a freedive computer now that I am getting into freediving.

Ever since they switched the software to the 2.0, I love mine. Honestly, my favorite part is the hoseless transmitter on the pony. When I switch gases, it switches to that pressure, so I never have to mess with a pressure guage on the pony, although I will add a pressure guage to my back gas on deeper dives.

Suunto is not that conservative! I dive the Atom 2.0 and a Suunto Viper together and and the Suunto is more liberal unless I am scrubbing. Careful what everyone says about Suunto. I also know someone else who often does 9-10 dives a day in the grounds with a Suunto Vytec. He also did 20 drops in a day in 40-60 ft.

As for the Atom 2.0, PM Jerry1001, I'm sure he and Shawn at Scubaquest in Brandon could hook you up with a good price.
