In addition to another great event, I want to thank the SPUCs for choosing to give the "Last Place" gun to Robert (Bobby) Barnes. I considered it a personal kindness that you chose to give the gun to him even though he wasn't present.

Bobby is a young kid who loves to spearfish but doesn't own his own gun (not until now anyway). He doesn't have a lot of resources like some of us, but supports all of the events, participating on our boat.

He was at the event all weekend, and at the ceremonies right up until about 30 minutes before his name was called. He had to leave to meet the tow truck to help a friend and fellow spearfisherman move a broken vehicle.

It hadn't been a great week-end for Bobby until you guys made it so.

Hats off to your club and the SPO. Your decision either way, wasn't going to change my support to the SPO, but it sure makes it a pleasure to support good people.

No problem Dave, that sort of thing is what this tournament is all about. Speaking of supporting the tournament, hats off to you for your continued above-and-beyond sponsorship of the SPO. Every year, you're right there for us with a huge variety of the best bags and gear a spearo can lay hands on.
