How does total weight play into this? abdiver 08-20-2007, 06:46 AM It is used as a tie breaker. Frank Excuse my ignorance.... How does total weight play into this? Teh Wicked 08-20-2007, 09:10 AM 196 people got weighed in, I figured for sure there was WAY more than that participating. abdiver 08-20-2007, 09:38 AM There were a lot of people who had breakdowns and were slowed down by the storm so they missed the weigh-in cutoff. It happens every year that 60-70 people who register do not make it to the weigh-in for one reason or another. Frank 196 people got weighed in, I figured for sure there was WAY more than that participating. Denny 08-20-2007, 09:53 AM Even if you don't make the weigh-in, you have five "MYSTERY TICKETS" given to you when you sign in at the captains meeting. That is five chances to have your number drawn and pick from the table. So it is worth going to the awards ceremony even if you did not weigh in a fish. Yesterday, all of those unfortunate shooters that did not weigh in fish were given a trip to the prize table if they were at the qwards ceremony. The prize table was so FAT... it was unbelievable. Nice job, everybody. BTW- this was the BEST Open I have ever been to. And this one provided me with the most fun I've ever had at the Open. abdiver 08-20-2007, 10:34 AM Even if you don't make the weigh-in, you have five "MYSTERY TICKETS" given to you when you sign in at the captains meeting. Just ask Nikki how valuable those mystery and category tickets can be. Nikki 08-20-2007, 11:34 AM I got one mystery ticket pick (gun) My friend Keith (dragginfish) got TWO mystery ticket picks - and he wasn't even there - so I had to choose for him --->my other two trips up His gf Jan (spearette) didn't get any mystery ticket picks - and was wherever Keith was. Luck was on my side on Saturday (finding bug) and Sunday (mystery ticket and raffle).......several people told me that I should have entered the lottery or gone to Vegas yesterday after awards ceremony :D BUT - Keith didn't even show and got a gun and a dry-pack backpack and a shooter's shirt........maybe he should have gone to Vegas yesterday too???j It was a GREAT tournament - run like clockwork for all parts (capt meeting, weigh-in, awards) and prize table rocked! Had a blast - jeepshapes 08-21-2007, 10:25 PM congrats to everyone. sorry i missed it. but at least my boy weighed in at 8 lb's 14 oz and beat zacker:) hogsniper 09-03-2007, 10:30 PM The photos speak for themselves...
