Went swimming this morning with Pantoja, in the water by 7:30am. Vis was not bad, at 60ft you could make out hazy bottom structure. The current was very noticeable and got worse as the day wore on. At 30ft you could clearly see bottom from the moving boat but the current did not allow us to take advantage of it so we called it a day early, home by 1:30pm. The weatherman said 2-4.. wrong! Overall not a bad haul considering the conditions.

It was a shame that the current was such a pain, it was a beautiful day and the viz wasn't bad at all.

That's a nice table of fish, guys. That snapper in the center is very nice.

It's an 8lb Cubera, I'm glad I got it but I'm not proud of it, it was an easy target in shallow water. I am pleased with myself though getting that ass shot little mutton at 60ft. Finally I'm getting back to my normal operating depth.

No, the current was too strong for that but you can see the stills.Great haul for just two guysI think I have the secret formula figured out! Every time I go with Pantoja I end up with roughly a 1/3 of the number of fish that he gets, this was the case today too. If I'm lucky and one of my fish is big I'll even up the ratio if going by weight LOL. Anyone who fished with Pantoja knows what I'm talking about and I might as well come to terms with it :mad:

Yuuummy,,, TRIGGERS!!!! Nice table their guys! It is storming like hell here. Dan I would be stoked to shoot any Cubera at any depth! The bottom over here is covered with gags in the 15-30ft range but NO Cubera.
