Just came out. Anybody that would like a copy, please email me your mailing address and I will make sure you get a couple of copies. A litle different format this year, unfortunately no big pictures, or first place winners names, but still good press for the Open! I realize it may be difficult to read the scanned article, I really don't know how else to post here. Probably just easier to mail to all interested people.
Thanks very much to Dean Palmer for putting up with me hassling him over pictures. I really appreciate the time you took to send us pictures.

Yes, glad to see the "shooting fish in a barrel" headline. great.
Ahh yes I do understand sarcasm. Fortunately, in our area people don't actually hate spearfisherman and can appreciate how difficult the sport actually is. Maybe they're just used to reading my articles describing how frustrating and humbling the sport can be. I've worked very hard over the past few years to better the relationship between "us & them". Not sure if you were at the St. Pete Open or not, but you'll notice most of the catches were handled in a garbage can or "barrel" prior to and after weigh-in.
Simlpy an eye catching headline created by my publisher and I will always support his executive decisions as he has been one of the largest supporters, if not the only, of our sport in this area. I'm allowed multiple pages every month to speak to a large number of people, about any dive related topic I choose.
That's a pretty large privelege in my book, and if you look, this month's issue even has an article informing the public of the importance of our upcoming local Gulf Council meeting and a big thumbs up to the FRA for their hard work!
Also if you noticed, this is a FREE publication, meaning I don't receive compensation for spending HOURS in front of my computer every month putting together these articles for the past year and a half for the education and enjoyment of the general public. If at any time you would like to write an article of your own, or send criticism, I'm sure my publisher Michael Heller would love to receive it.
