Dudes
Just purchased a Riffe Euro 110cm and don't want it. Looking to be an expensive lesson if I can't unload it to a fellow spearo. I used it this weekend and don't like the pistol grips anymore. Have been using a mid-handle No Ka Oi for too many years and am set in my ways. Included in this package is a Sporsub reel loaded with a full run of 400lb line (new still in package) 2 extra shafts and 4 extra bands. Figure I have $750 into the set and will take it in the ass (so to speak):cussing: and let the set go for the first $625. For those who need the help, I would be willing to take $325 down and work out payments for the rest.
Nothing wrong with the gun or set, just have used the mid handle with success for many years now and it is too difficult to change.
Cheers, Woody

man you must be on japanese crack, that gun brand new is 400 bucks with reel another 70 dollars and shafts for those guns are around 30 bucks tops at any good online dive shop, so that comes out to 500 dollars tops. good luck, there is a sucker out there somewhere.

merman is right, I don't know around there, but in the US that setup is around $450 brand new, the extra shafts and bands add a little but not quite the asking price.

Since a couple of you have weighed in on the prices for my gun and accessories here's my take on your comments.
There is NOWHERE on-line where you can find a Riffe Euro 110cm speargun with a Sporasub instinct reel loaded with line for $400 or $450 brand new, period!

Direct from Riffe:

Euro 110cm--$416
Sporasub instinct reel with line--$173
Shaft--$52 ea
Band--$18 ea

Total price direct from Riffe for the setup advertised is $765

I purchased the gun ($410) and 2 extra shafts ($47 ea X 2 $94) in Guam. The reel with line ($173) and bands (4 x $18) from Paul Smith here (direct from Riffe.) my total cost invested is $749.

My advertised price is $625 which is a savings of $124 from my purchased price.

Bottom line: If you find better prices for on-line equipment buy it there.

Don't ASSUME you know better prices. You are taking a risk by posting that assumption

We all know what happens when we assume....

Here's the reel for $32.

http://www.scubastore.com/product.asp?pais=UNITED%20STATES%20OF%20AMERICA&idioma=eng&id_familia=6&id=21&id_modelo=4296&marca=SPORASUB&tipo=GUNS&subtipo=,%20accessories&desde=0

If shipping is another $30, that's still only ~$60. I don't think line costs ~$110.

Bands, shafts can be found for cheaper than your listed retail price. I bought 2 65" 5/16 Riffe shafts for $50 (for both). I make my own bands.

When that gun does show up for sale (used), they usually go in the high $200's (sometimes lower).

Riffe products are notoriously overpriced (for the quality). An example is their rebranded stuff. A Riffe knife costs ~$50. I get the same knife from scubastore for $19. If you paid retail from Riffe, then you already got the shaft up the ass. Can't blame you for asking the price.

They were "used". They guy had the shafts for a gun that he sold.

There was a guy selling a 62" for $30 on the other site.
