In August ,Brad took us to the new wreck. It was work to find the low profile in 150 fsw and 5' swells , but the Scarab's furuno lit it up in red and we threw in the Jug. Anchored up and we slid down the line and there it was....a new wreck.
Keyskiller went for a grouper but he got away, another 30 #er bolted to the sand but turned and holded up under the wreck. Saw 2 big jew fish, jacks, big nurse shark, all the usual suspects. Time went fast, seemed alike a 150 bounce.
2nd drop . Brad nailed a nice hog and I took the Nikonos to document the new wreck. I shot 800 speed film w/ 15 mm lens to try and show some wreck panoramas w/ available lite.

Man, that is totally awesome. Those pics rock. That boat could not have been down more than ten years.

We think the boat was stripped and sunk offshore to save dump fees. No mono so H/L guys arent hittin it. we feel it has been down 7-10 years.

Yes it was a cool dive that day. The only down side was I had to give KeysKiller BOTH women I had w/ me and a favorite Marquesas spot to get the New Wrec:slap:k #s.

Up here in Md its fecal soup in the Chesapeake Bay and just pittiful off Ocean City.

The summer in the Fla Keys is so nice I just save up the Diving Dollars and spend 14 days in Key West ea year. Drag down the Scarab CC and the everthing but the kitchen sink.Conditions were so nice this year I did 44 drops on the vacation. Lota fun. Wade
