I'm coming down to the lower keys 10/19-10/21 with some old friends to spear but we unfortunately don't have any numbers in that area. I need numbers anywhere from Marathon to Key West and especially the Big Pine Key area... I would like to trade numbers and I have spots from West Palm Beach to Key Biscayne, especially near PE or Haulover Inlet. I don't want anyone's honey holes (as I'm sworn to secrecy on some of mine and can't give 'em out), just some good numbers in depths from 25-100fsw. I'd be willing to buy them but my grad student budget is pretty limited.

Also, I'm down for meeting up with any spearos in the keys, we're going to rent a boat Friday-Sunday and will be freediving and will potentially have some extra space for divers.

I have quite a few digits between Sombrero and west towards the 7-mile bridge. Send me a PM and I'll gladly share them with you.

Rolando, you're the man! I'll definitely let you know how those numbers pan out, especially that mystery wreck, thanks for your help.

I'm still looking for some very shallow (20-30 feet) and intermediate/deep (50+ feet) spots if anyone has 'em.

First of all, my thanks to those that hooked me up with some numbers, I will definitely return the favor if you're ever hunting in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. We didn't end up having any extra room on the boat, but hopefully on the next trip I can invite more people out for some freediving.

We're leaving for our trip tomorrow morning and hoping for good conditions and big fish, I'll make sure to post a report when I get back. We're going to be grilling and drinking on Friday and Saturday nights at the house we rented in Cudjoe Key (the Venture Out resort), PM me or give me a call at 786-417-4086 if you want to come by and hang out for a bit, everyone is welcome.

Me, Prater and out wives spent the first week of Oct on Cudjoe. I'm going to send you a PM with a little of what we found right there....maybe it'll help.

If your staying at venture out just run out kemp channel all the way to the last island which is sawyer key, take a left, half a mile off the island jump in and start trolling behind the boat. 15-20ft is the best big coral heads ledges and the occasional lobster hotel or bathtub. You'll have more numbers from one day of trolling then you'll ever need.
