Ok I was bored of doing homework today and I just refinished my riffe.So I went for a spin in the canal...I swam to the end of the canal and noticed that there were schools of like 20+ snapper EVERYWHERE! this was in 3ft of water and I was shooting 20" snappers lol.I might bring a wetsuit next time due to cassiopia jellyfish but most of the seagrass was jellyfish free.So my question is...how many people have even thought of spearfishing on the flats?

For the boys down south thats the case, but for us up here in the upper keys its at least a 3 mile boat ride. Its over 4 for me since theres an island a mile offshore of where I'm at, so I have to be 3nm off of it before I can spear. God do I envy the middle and lower keys spearos.

Not to try to derail your thread, but does anyone know why they made the 3-mile rule up here and not for the rest of the keys?
