Sitting here wishing I was in the water as many of you are. Surfing ebay and found this as for a speargun. Looks like a gun with potential for the right price if any of you are looking. I would like to know more about the trigger mech parts he used and wood in the stock but....

I think this is gonna be my new blue water gun.

I'm thinking about getting in the water, do you think it will be good enough. It looks like a Riffe trigger to me.

 no water for me this weekend. I live a 2 minute walk to the beach outside Tori station. Just checked and as usual after a typhoon its trashed out there. It'll be at least a week before visibility will be back to norm.
Staying home and doing the "honey do" list along with sewing up those holes in my wetsuit that I have been meaning to do.
Hey anybody know a good source for reflective mylar tape?

Makeman is where I usually get mine. That andre gun is supost to be alright. I have heard good things about his tuna guns. Im going to have to see that tommy botha gun in person if you get that. There has been some huge hype on them. I just want to see what there all about.

Make man huhhhhhhhh? Who would have thought? Guess I'll be visiting them after while. Got a shitload of bass fishing spinnerbaits. Think I'm gonna make a few flashers this weekend if I can get the shtuff together. Hate these no water weekends but gives me the time to do those procrastinating things I put off for so long.

Guess I need to start on old faithfull No Ka Oi and refinish her. If I start today I can put her back in service for next weekend. Been procrastinating the refinish job for 2 years now. She's in rough shape and in need of a serious cleaning and polishing......

Got the money for the Tommy gun....just need to push the button. Always find it hard to spend those big amounts. Especially after I bought that Riffe 110cm and don't like it. Hey also wouldn't you know the month after I get it Riffe puts out a new "X" version of the Euro that looks adds a 5" extension on the back to aid when swinging gun. Shit that was my major problem with the gun I just got. Too darn hard to move it in a hurry.

Guess we're all just "dreaming" today huh??

All I got to say is spend your money wisely. I havent had the need for any gun with more than 1 or 2 bands. Shoot lately I have transfered all my guns to single bands. I have one 60" 3 band gun that barely sees any action. I merely got it to shoot those huge dog tooth but I was shown that they can be shot and landed with a flopper and 2 5/8 bands. Whats the need to spend more money? If you have seen any 200+lb fish around here please let me know. Otherwise its not a smart investment but its your money.

So we went out today and you should see the pics of the fish I got
Showed Skinydiver my secret of secret spots! The water wasnt bad but the vis wasnt great. Only saw the west side but on the way home the east side looked good.

Going to go out tomorrow as well but not exactly sure where yet.

Did you guys see the 37lb Parrot fish Daryl Wong shot? Its a moose!

Chuck,

I have a posiedon sub from my bud Steve! Its a 5/16 semi enclosed track. I havent shot it once. It just collects dust. I have been making a slip tip for my behemoth fish. One day I will get that bastard! The dogtooth record will be mine! I probably wont submit it though. Im not about records. Damn... 1 beer 2 beer... Ok Im totaled! I got to dive with skinydiver tomorrow! So uh I shall post later!

Did you guys know that there is another typhoon? Ya this crap sucks! Last year was so awesome!

Skinner, that fish was HUGE! Geeze! If it wasnt for you we couldnt have landed it! Good thing it was raining or esle we would have had fish jerky on the roof of my car!

Kevin,

Did you get the Euroteak or a Hybrid? I was thinking of getting a 60" Hybrid Pro for the occasional rare bluewater trip that might happen. My friend just told me that there is a guy who is retired has a boat and took him out fishing up in the Okuma area for $100. Doesn't sound bad especially if there are 3 or 4 people to split the fee.

Dont waste your money. There arent fish big enough to shoot that type of gun at. The biggest fish I have seen here are 200lb dog tooth and you wont find em on Okinawa. So I wouldnt even bother. I would take that money and spend it on my wife or something. All you need is a 2 banded gun.

So here are some pics of what I saw today.

FO reals? We didnt find anywhere I thaught was productive. I have learned that murky water doesnt attract big fish usually. Most places were rough or bad vis. But we found this secret spot, Merman showed it to me ages ago.

Chuck,

I got the hybrid 60". Its an awesome gun and I have only shot it at one tuna which I hit and landed. you guys talk about b/w. Have you been b/w yet? I dont think so. Its not necessary for that type of gun. I doubt you can dive 80ft in ripping current for some foot long yellow fin tuna. Shoot even then you wouldnt need a gun like that. I used my favorite Rabiteck 140cm apex. Every shot I took I hit and landed a fish except for 1 shot last trip. I have found my brand, South Africa brand, like my girlfriend :D Cant go back! I love these guns and rarely miss, the parts are cheap too! Talk to Jim at aquasub if you need anything. Tell him I sadi hey!

Later Okinawa spearos!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my Rabitech also and will definitely buy another in the near future. I don't think I would be able to load a 140 though, the 130cm is probably pushing it.

He doesn't really deal with Rabitech, although he does have some of the shorter ones in stock. Better to stay with Erik for the Rabi's. Well I hope there are bigger than 30# around the island and I would like to get a couple of them hence the Rabi 130cm. I definitely appreciate the advice, trying to help a brother save money.
