For those of you who know, when is the sturgill meet this year? I'm gonna try and make some time to participate but I don't know when it is.

You're not on Eric bananas' spam list? Send him (think his SB screen name is Banados) a note or contact someone in that club. Maybe their website might have it on a schedule or something.

Nate,

The website did have it on their schedule. Oct. 14th. Thanks.

Bill Mc. sent me the registration form too.

Mike, Prepare to be COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DEMORALIZED!!!!!:moon::moon::moon:
This is the one Fathomiers comp of the year that the "Old Timers" actually participate in. It is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. I suggest you start scouting now, if you already haven't.

By the way, here is a pic of the trophy. Check out some of the names on it. Yes, some of them still participate!

John,

I remember participating like 4 or 5 years ago when I first started getting into spearing. I still remember the wide-eyed amazement from back then. Ill probably see if I can get some other people and get a boat to dive the san Pedro breakwall like back then.

Who else here is planning on going?

I don't own a polespear, but may end up getting one to go. Last dive I got skunked, but the meet afterward was great. Just being able to pick the brain of old time pros was worth it in itself for a new guy trying to get some of the tricks and tips of spearing.
