I'm going to try something new here....

My band, WIRE, is playing in New Port Richey on Saturday, August 4th.

We are playing at:

Jilly's Tavern
5313 Main Street
New Port Richey, FL 34652

We start playing around 9:30 and will go till about 1:30....

Here is the pitch - for every member of this site that shows up and tells me that they saw my post on SFP, I will donate $2 to the FRA, up to $100 (which is exactly what I will make for doing the gig).

This is a win-win situation, all the way around:

My band gets a crowd of crazy spearfishing guys - and it is far more fun playing for friends....especially crazy friends!

The bar gets some good business, which makes them want us to come back and play more.

The FRA gets up to $100 in cash.

You guys get to listen to some good rock n' roll, drink some beers, and hang out with other people from the board.

I know that New Port Richey is a long haul for some of you, so please try to drag along a designated driver if you come. The last thing I want is somebody I know getting a DUI, or injured in an accident while driving home from my gig...

That's entirely up to you. Tony has done a good job of segmenting the powers behind the FRA, but I don't see why we can't use his site to raise money for the cause.

Wife and I made a show in the past and they do Rock!!!!!!! Sorry, I'll be out of town for this one ....... But Sept 8, we plan to bring a crew!

The next gig is the night of WCC#4:toast:
We go shoot fish, chow on a fish fry?? and get a bunch of rowdy smelly spearfisherman to show up and rock out :toast::toast:

Anyone that didn't go missed out! Unfortunatly, we could only stay for the first of three sets, but they rocked! Awesome tunes like "Rockin' In The Free World" were done as well as some other classics like "Brown Eyed Girl". A great version of "Johnny B Goode" was busted out as well!

If it makes any difference there was a few more there than the origional count. I had four more people show up in my crew than what Wonderboy told you. Between Wonder and I we had 12 people.

And I do agree, it is sad that we couldn't have gotten more people there to support the cause. Everone that i brought with me had a good time.
