My LDS has both of them in the store and I was wondering how the match up. I understand that they are 2 very different guns. How do they compare in both range and accuracy? For bottom hunting on scuba, which would you prefer? Is the riffe really worth the extra $110 or so? How well will that magnetic track work for freeshafting? Thanks.

Those are both great guns for different purposes. For scuba shooting the rhino is a better gun. For freediving the riffe is a better gun.

I know that the riffe would be better for freediving but I'm wondering how much more range and accuracy it would give me. If I would only get another 3' of range I cant see spending another $110. If it were to give me another 8-10' of range it seems like it may be worth the longer reload times and cost.

Having shot both I can say this: On a lineshaft the riffe will give you that extra 8-10' of range, on a freeshaft I would consider them to be equal. Both guns are accurate, the riffe is geared alot more towards lineshafting, the rhino being a more versatile gun geared towards freeshafting. If I were to be free shaft bottum hunting on scuba, I would get the ss rhino and take the saved money to buy more free shafts, and an extra shaft holder for the gun. I have only done scuba bottum hunting a few times but have seen what people can do freeshafting with the ss guns
