Does anyone that has a sea hornet/biller type of gun ever seen a handle crack like this before? The people I talked to in the dive shop said that I needed a new handle and that would be about $90. For that $ I could almost buy a new gun. I'm just wondering if cracks like this are common and if it would be worht it to buy a new handle. I dont want to buy a new handle and have it crack on me in a year.

Sea Hornets flex quite a bit, that could be why it broke.
I think AB Billers have a lifetime warranty, maybe Sea Hornets do as well, if not buy an AB Biller handle it will fit.

How come there's no screw holes in the original holes? Did somebody stick a new barrel in it? I would call Ray Odor he may have a handle as it does not appear to be a biller.

the new aimrite handles adressed this issue I think. Only a few snapped that I heard about but I havent seen a new one break yet. You can tell if its new or old by holding it up to light....if its transparent to a degree its the new material.

my sea hornets are going on 15 years old . I have one that cracked at the back of the trigger like yours. My fix was 50 200 and a hose clamp. She shoots just fine.
I had to replace my dads whole trigger mech on his 20yr old biller/hornet and it was only 50$ so 90$ is ripping you off.I would contact seahornet or abbiller and tell them.

IMHO
It looks like a new stock was inserted into the handle. Due to the tight fit between stock and handle, it is recommended that when inserting a new stock in to the handle that you heat the handle in warm to hot water for a few minutes allowing it to expand and soften then insert the stock into the handle. As the pastic cools to will more or less contract to make a tight fit on the new stock.
If you didnt heat the handle prior to inserting the stock a crack similar to what is picture could occur.

The crack was there when I bought the gun but lately the crack has gotten bigger. I didnt pay much for the gun but I figured if it ever got to the point where it affected my accuracy I could replace it fairly cheap. I was wrong.

The bottom corners on that stock are totally square, I've only ever seen them rounded, just like the hole in the handle it fits into. Looks like they squeezed a square peg in a round hole! Are you sure it's getting bigger? The two screws look like they were put in to keep it from opening wider. I've had two older sea hornets that were cracked in the front and back, just added screws where it looked like they were needed. Looks fine to me.
