I figured that since we hijack pretty much any thread, that happens to be the popular thread, with talk about weather and typhoons so this would be a good place to centralize info and sites that display different weather and dive report references and current typhoon info.

At this point it's going to be hard to get me out in the water before Sunday. This thing looks like it's going to whip around and skirt us for the whole 4 day weekend. I'd say the water will be jacked all week.

Looks like its drinkin and working on my gun for the next few days....however, I'll probably take my Pajero, GPS, and fishing gear (just in case) and go explore shit. This will be a good opportunity to actually map the island.:absolut:

MSN weather says; winds in the 30 mph range for the next 3 days out of the SSE/SE. I would say that means only North of Okuma will do. The Motabu area only. Even there the water will probably be pretty torn up. Has anyone seen or think differently?

drove the island today, seemed like the protected area near sesoko channel was the only place without surf...but it looked dirty. Anyone go out today? I just explored...found some wierd shit.

I went out! Pretty nice. I'm sure Breathlesssight and Rob will post. I shot a small MU, and that's pretty much it. I'm still trying to figure out why my aim is off with my new gun. The conditions where we went were descent. 20 to 30 foot viz, mild current and minimal surf. It rained on us a few times. Nothing substantial though. Overall good day. I hit 68 feet for over a minute on the dive, and had one dive to 51 feet for 1 minute and 46 seconds. Thats my PB, and I wasn't even trying. I'll be going out Monday. I've got some stuff around the house to take care of tomorrow.

It looks like the winds are going to shift, and will be coming out of the SW on Monday. That works out to us being able to go check out the tourney site. A site survey, if you will. Anyone down?

the weather looks to be ideal for this weekend. The wave report is looking good for the whole area, including Yoron. Okinawa west side looks great, and even Oku will probably be nice. The forecast calls for 10~15 MPH winds out of the North east, but apearantly won't be affecting the water too much. Lets all hope the vis is as good as the water conditions. My weekend starts at 1630 today!!!! See ya'll at Motabu.

Yuron will be very calm down south where you guys were last time. I saw it when I stoped in there. The only thing is hopefully the fish are around :pray:
