I watched ( Freebird ) the movie tonight... Anyone lucky enough to see them live ? They will always be one of my favorites ! Keep on Rockin !

I never saw them perform live, but they were one of the greatest bands out there, I know some people get tired of hearing Freebird, but I never will.

For some reason when I hear Freebird, I keep flashing back to Forrest Gump when Jenny gets up on the balcony railing and thinks about jumping.

I've seen them several times in the past few years. They still ROCK! They're getting pretty old and haven't really updated themselves in a long time, still sporting the 70's look...only with thinning hair and beer bellys. They put on a great show though, the crowd is always really into it. They have so many songs that are absolute classics. Gary Rossington is incredible on the guitar. See them if you get a chance.

I've seen them twice, well, I've seen the band that is now skynard. Ronny and Johnny are so identical it doesn't feel like a tribute band, and the other fill in guys along with the few original guys still rock. Shows were both great, I really liked the one when Doobie Bros opened............:yay:

I've seen the real Lynyrd Skynyrd live before in Dallas TX. I'm pretty sure it was their last tour, might have been the same year of the crash. They were a rare band indeed, one that was great both live and in studio. If you like how they sound now you would have really liked them then. As different as night and day!

Saw the band in 78 or 79 in L.A. great show. I think The OutLaws (Green Grass and High Tides another epic song) played with them.

Saw them twice, 75 and 76 in Minneapolis (highschool) - great shows that I will never forget. I think each show was a solid three hours! You don't see that nowadays.

I believe RUSH puts on a three hour show, without an opening act. Another awesome band with the best drummer in the world.

We had the privilege to see them before the crash 3 or 4 times and even more at the present band.
The last time I saw them was this past Memorial Day in Orange Beach, AL. and Hank Jr. opened up for them. GREAT SHOW
