Choke Fish

Saturday
Let see, where to begin? I guess I coudl start out with the first day of diving, Saturday. A lot of people thaught that we were crazy for going out in the water when it was E/W Warning and with a typhoon out there. But we knew, being an island, that there would at the very least be one spot to fish. Well we were wrong in that there were many spots along the west side of the island. So I invited Reyton and Keith out but they had already had plans, so Team KRAP, skiny, and Parker set out to explore new realms.
We hit up a spot on the NW side of the island hoping to hit some Coral trout, Taman, Parrot, and maybe some bigger grouper. Rob and I traveled until we found a nice reef full of undamaged coral, which is a rare site around these islands devastated by coral bleaching. Inside this circle laid 2 massive coral trout which I and Roberto tried desperately to subdue. But the bastards were sharp and knew to stay out of range, even for the deadly 140cm Apex.
Though I thaugt these were the biggest coral trout I have seen I soon would take that thaught back when I hit the next spot on Saturday with keith and Reyton.
Dead Dog Hole
Apon arriving at the dead dog hole spot, I was givin the the low down on how there was 3 dogs on the beach and by the time Reyton and Keith drug themselves out of the water on Saturday the annoying trio was reduced to one. :( The fox looking dog was the only one left, alone from his band of missfits and outlaws.
We suited up and what I thaught would be another boring day of roaming a raped reef turned into much excitement. It all started when we got seperated from each other. Being a good freediver I tend to find myself in the deep water near the reefs edge. I spotted a good size coral trout and began my descent. Laying on the bottom for what seemed like an eternity, I noticed a little head pop up over the reefs edge. It was Mr. Grumpy Coral Trout coming over to see what all the hub bub was about. Instinctively I pointed my gun towards him and just shot, completely missing him. I have been doing this all week and have lost many CT's thanks to this imperfection. Later after reloading and refiring I returned to the surface after a 1:45 dive when I happen to look down and out as I was on the surface. I saw what I thaught as first was a tigershark due to its elongated top tail fin. It was about 8ft or less and I began to head towards Reyton. So together we dove the drop, falling on many CT's and WhipTail CT's.
Then as I was reloading the shark visited for the last time. Coming up behind me in mid water and then up to my left. He proceeded to dive while fleeing from behind me. The whole time Reyton watches and simply points. I turn but see nothing :circle: He wasnt aggressive and was merely looking for free food. The whole day Reyton and I just werent on our A game with landing fish.
Later that day I saw the biggest coral Trout I have ever laid eyes on but like the rest he just wasnt interested no matter what I do. :(
Today
I shot a massive Snapper which ripped off... Thanks 140, I dont know what I have ever done to you. :D Retyon shot some nice makabu, keith shot a good size CT and I... Well it was just fish story. Devan also shot a couple of nice Coral Trouts.
Skinner, Dooood pull the fish out instead of the spear next time if you have the chance :D
Later all! Glad I got to hear everyones story. Now I dont know how well I can sleep tonight.
