I want to spend pretty much the whole day tomorrow in the water. TEAM DTT 10-12-2007, 05:48 AM DTT, you talkin scuba or breathold? Has anyone ever dove out of Torii Station? Skinydiver 10-12-2007, 06:22 AM THat's a pretty nice web site. Looks like we will be OK this weekend. East and west should be pretty much the same. I'd say. I think the vis on the W side will be a little better than the east. Sesoko looked pretty nice today, I'd say between 30 and 40, but a little foggy. Not murky. Shot a small Taman, about a pound. I'm going to cook it up as soon as I get out of the shower. It's in marinade right now. cww180 10-12-2007, 07:00 AM So who is down to go out tomorrow and what time? Skinydiver 10-12-2007, 07:06 AM It looks like you guys went to the wrong buy me drinkie bar. Catch crabs in the water, not out of the water. hahah:lol: Gotta give you a hard time. cww180 10-12-2007, 08:50 AM Everybody go to sleep or is anyone going out tomorrow? TEAM DTT 10-12-2007, 08:55 AM Waves: http://www.imocwx.com/cwm/cwm_ljp.htm Tide: http://www.mobilegeographics.com:81/locations/4011.html Wind: http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/naha_airport_okinawa The Nago bay should be pristine tomorrow. The wind and waves are coming out of the north ( a sign that winter is coming) and the Motobu peninsula blocks most of that. It should be very good. The south side of Sesoko should also be good. Lets keep our finger crossed for next week. Winds from the North are not good. TEAM DTT 10-12-2007, 09:07 AM It looks like you guys went to the wrong buy me drinkie bar. Catch crabs in the water, not out of the water. hahah:lol: Gotta give you a hard time. That was when TEAM AYM and TEAM DTT took over Tokashiki for 3 days and nights. We only took one shower during that time and that was with a garden hose. It was awesome. cww180 10-12-2007, 09:28 AM Kyoda should be good then right? Skinydiver 10-12-2007, 09:44 AM How difficult would it be to Kayak from Sesoko to that small island west of it? Jabroney 10-12-2007, 09:53 AM I'm checking this area out tomorrow. Looks like a secluded little beach off of 223...anyone been there? My in-laws live 10 minutes from there so if I don't catch anything, I could always just go raid their fridge! :biggrinangelA: 3046 cww180 10-12-2007, 10:28 AM Chris going with you? parker 10-12-2007, 10:32 AM [QUOTE=Jabroney;27808]I'm checking this area out tomorrow. I recall seing some good size parrots and mibai. I've made plans to meet Finbreaker at Courtney in the morning and maybe move to another spot (haven't decided where) in the afternoon. DTT - I still want to go for bugs tomorrow night. I'll call you tomorrow to find out where/when to meet. Choke Fish 10-12-2007, 11:22 AM I'm checking this area out tomorrow. Devin, Dont worry, Rob went out there today and he said it was all calm. :birthday: steelhed 10-12-2007, 08:27 PM Anybody still around that wants to go out? I wanna head out in about an hour. Leave me your number and I'll give you a call. Not sure where, but maybe hedo. steelhed 10-13-2007, 07:10 AM Just got back from Hedo. Awsome day, viz was good, tons of fish. Saw a monster Cuda and Spanish mack but couldnt get either to come in range. There were tons of nice coral trout playing on the reef so we brought some home. I got a cool shark video as well so I'll throw that up later. Headed out in the boat tomorrow, dont know where yet. Skinydiver 10-13-2007, 09:08 AM Well, Alex and I went down South. Looked at the area near Channel Crevasses, and it looked a bit choppy, so we went a little further West. The west side looked descent, so we suited up. We ended up taking the yak out like 2 miles to a reef that the top of was in about 15 feet of water, and didn't get much deeper than 50 feet. There were quite a few yellow sweetlips, and a fair amount of CT grouper. I shot 2 probably 2 lbs grouper, and a peacock grouper. My shots are getting more accurate, so I'm happy about that. Other than that, near the end of the time we had, we saw a couple of Trevally. 2 blue finned, and one solid silver one. The silver one was huge, but by the time I noticed it, it was swimming full tilt away from me about 20 feet away. Vis was probably 30 to 40, and there was plenty to look at. Someone come to my house and clean these fish for me. I'll give you a dollar. cww180 10-13-2007, 09:48 AM Wow what a deal, don't touch them I'll be there in a minute! I saw and shot one of the yellow fish like you got in Yoron, bad news is I missed. He was huge! Finbreaker got a couple of nice coral trout, one of them was the ones with the yellow in the tail. Ben and I also shot a couple of fish each. Finbreaker 10-14-2007, 11:21 PM I had a great day of diving Saturday with CWW180 and Parker. We started at Courtney although I really only go there if I am desperate because it is a fairly easy dive. The vis there was bad and I think the fish decided to go to where Rob and Kev were because they weren't home at Courtney. We then motored up to Motobu to a nice spot Parker picked out, and the vis was a little better and some fish were home. There was a strong current running North and I found myself a long way from the entry point, so I spent the rest of my time and energy swimming back up current to get back to Parker, who was calmly floating and fishing, making it look easy. I am meeting some great people and having a great time. |
