View Full Version : Bond...James Bond Gun settingsteel 10-14-2007, 06:17 PM Was doing some surfing (actually should be windsurfing with this Crapiami weather:pissed:) the www and came across this mini bazooka http://patcoinc.com/aquaguns/ag22.html seems pretty cool- anyone care to comment? Teh Wicked 10-14-2007, 07:30 PM 15ft range and he us claiming the most powerful speargun in the world? Guess he hasnt seen a 6 banded Sea Sniper yet huh? Skinydiver 10-14-2007, 08:00 PM Yeah. Pretty sweet looking little thing though. It'd be cool for sneaking up on fish in holes. It's no tuna killer though. Gixxer 10-14-2007, 08:03 PM unfortunately you have to be on the money with your shot, as those broadheads will desintegrate upon impact with rocks. would be cool for making a spadefish kebab. Amphibious 10-14-2007, 08:26 PM unfortunately you have to be on the money with your shot, as those broadheads will desintegrate upon impact with rocks. would be cool for making a spadefish kebab. way back in the day on DeeperBlue we had some folks experiment with Fixedblade broadhead and spearfishing. every test an abismal failure. no holding power, shattered on rocks, etc. Gixxer 10-14-2007, 09:32 PM SHATTERING!! That is exactly what I was thinking. Even the Magnus and Zwickeys would be toast. But... What about all of the claims that Muzzy makes? Bone crushing all day long. they do have chisel points like some of the slip tips. settingsteel 10-14-2007, 10:00 PM "its main purpose is to kill a struggling tethered fish" what ever happened to a flat screwdriver with a pointed tip:wtf: I'd maybe get 2 put them on Mexican Bandoleer Style with a bunch of "bullet broadheads" on the belt of course:2gunsfiring_v1: and show up at one the friendly spear meets, walking all bad ass on the dock, hell maybe throw in a mexican sombrero, with spur boots and a banana sling (only time one would be appropiate):chuck: On another note how about using it with a powerhead as a "predator shield"? Amphibious 10-14-2007, 10:18 PM SHATTERING!! That is exactly what I was thinking. Even the Magnus and Zwickeys would be toast. But... What about all of the claims that Muzzy makes? Bone crushing all day long. they do have chisel points like some of the slip tips. yeah, the muzzy's are not cut-on-contact like many of the Traditional Bow broadheads (Zwicky, magnus, silverflame), so they might hold up a little better. something like the Montec G5 might work? still would suck for holding. Bone is a rigid sponge. rock is a little different :D fl_coastie 10-14-2007, 10:36 PM Looks like a waste of money to me settingsteel 11-05-2007, 11:30 PM here's another Bond gun http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/0900/940.htm l0keman 11-14-2007, 04:59 PM it would make a nice little shallow water low vis or flounder gun if you could change the tip. It's very attractive too. I just don't know about the charge thing. After one shot, everything within a mile would be so skiddish, prolly. I definatley like the newness and the looks and respect the idea, though. Seaweed 11-14-2007, 07:22 PM Just use a Glock with the maritime spring cups. 3/4" plywood penetration 10 ft away. As to how they can get away claiming it is the most powerful. There is probably some manipulation of words. It is probably the most powerful per inch or weight or something. Disclaimer: Firing a Glock pistol underwater can lead to serious personal injury and/or damage to the pistol. |
