It's time to look at the big picture and start to change a LOT!! Bill McIntyre 10-15-2007, 02:33 PM I can't open it. Marcus 10-15-2007, 03:01 PM I can't open it. Do you have Window's media player? If not, you'll need it. Bill McIntyre 10-15-2007, 03:27 PM Do you have Window's media player? If not, you'll need it. Yeah, I have it, although I'm usng a Mac. But other files seem to open in Windows Media Player automatically. ny_er 10-15-2007, 04:09 PM loads in IE but not firefox Marcus 10-15-2007, 04:47 PM oh...that's too bad, Bill. It's really a good one that has a current government accounting guy pointing out the effects of Bush's negligent spending on our stability. I'm sure you'll find some way of opening it. :D Sasquatch 10-15-2007, 05:15 PM It'll load in Firefox or mac- the original link was incorrect. Use this: http://www.grandich.com/video/60min.162mb.wmv Marcus 10-15-2007, 05:41 PM Huh?? The original link worked for me. Bill McIntyre 10-15-2007, 06:13 PM OK, the second link worked for me. I saw that when it ran on 60 Minutes, and I cried myself to sleep that night. I think I'll just drink a six pack of Steinlager this time. junior 10-15-2007, 08:47 PM There is nothing in the core values of either party which shines through enough to change this situation. We should dismiss every last one of them and send a message that enough is enough. Here! :toast: Bill McIntyre 10-15-2007, 09:02 PM There is nothing in the core values of either party which shines through enough to change this situation. We should dismiss every last one of them and send a message that enough is enough. I'm not sure even that would work. They would just be replaced with people who got elected and relected by responding to the same set of incentives. We won't vote for anyone who promises to raise taxes or cut spending on benefits, and we get the politicians that we deserve. I think the last Presidential candidate to say that we needed to raise taxes was Walter Mondale, running against Reagan. As I recall, Mondale won just one state, his home state. So we got record deficits and Mondale could say he told us so, but its better to be in office explaining it away than out of office saying I told you so. When Senator Warren Rudman helped found the Concord Coalition, an organization that advocates balanced budgets, he also failed to run for relection to the Senate, saying that the American people wouldn't elect anyone who told the truth and asked for sacrifice. Sasquatch 10-16-2007, 01:25 PM Well, in that article, we pay the most for healthcare- we've outsourced everything else- why not healthcare? Scary that even taking away the war in Iraq and all waste would still not stop the flow from happening. Time to start investing in gold, because the dollar will be worthless. |
