Has anyone done any mods to the grip of a Sea Hornet speargun to make the grip wider? I've always used a Voit/JBL gun and acquired a SS Rhino a couple years ago. I love the gun but the grip just feels a little too skinny compared to the JBL. Any suggestions?

You could glue some rubber on each side.

Wrap it with tennis racket tape, or try one of the slip on pistol grips made by Hoag. You also might want to contact Kevin at Hammerhead muzzles and see what kind of wrap they use to build up the grips on the evolution spearguns.

Not sure if anyone has tried it with that material yet, but you could expirement with it and report back and let everyone know how it worked.

Hogue does make a bunch of slip on and wrap around products for pistols, but if your handle is not the perfect clone of a 1911 pistol grip then you have to actually handle a couple different ones to make sure they fit the handle on your gun. reason why I say this is cause I believe the alexander handle is a 1911 grip shape. Well, if not that one then one of em out there is a 1911 shaped handle.

I picked up a tube of stuff from West Marine yesterday and formed up my new grip last night. Its deffinatly ALOT more comfortable to me with my big hands. The stuff I got was expensive but is made to be used in a marine enviroment and it can be painted as well. I will post up some pics tonight, then some more when I paint it.
