I figured AIDS would get you before anything else, I guess you have to worry about Staph infections now as well. :)

You should be worried too, Bret. You know they don't have a cure for 'barnyard' disease. :D

....and you asked me why I thought you were a goat rapist. I guess I'll assume since Billy is male, that makes you a gay goat rapist.

I guess since you are an adult, you could be called a child molestor if we follow the same logic.

MRSA is bad stuff.. In some studies they've shown that Hospitals, Emergency Rooms, Day Cares, and Nursing Homes (as well as the places they mentioned) are virtually crawling with the bacteria. Doctors have prescribed too many antibiotics for the wrong reasons.. I see people in the work place going to the doctor for colds and flu all the time.. It really aggravates me because it won't do a damn thing for a cold and it's causing bacteria to become resistant to the drugs. You can't tell them that though, the doctors like the income and the patients like the placebo effect.

My wife is a perfect example of this, my step daughter was complaining of a sore throat, my wife calls the Dr. who calls in a prescription for an antibiotic, my step daughter takes 1 pill and 20 minutes later she says she feels better.

I tried to explain to them that antibiotics are not for colds and that they are over prescribed and is not only hurting them but also putting society at risk, and that it is impossible for an antibiotic to work in 20 minutes on a cold.

Very true. I wonder if you could pull a sugar pill switch on them and have the same effect? That would be interesting... I'm surprised that doctors don't step up and stop this from happening? I guess they're like us, they'd rather not hear them fuss and gripe?

It's funny you guys bring this up:http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,302299,00.html

I had a staph infection once. It was the superficial type that goes away by itself, but it was bad enough that I have not been in a hot tub in three years.
