Want to say thank you on making my new gun. Ken just produced me a 55 Mid Handle, enclosed track, Death Stick. Having a free shaft gun I used on my 4 to 5 trips to the middle grounds each year, I was looking for a primary line gun with a little zip to really put a hurtin on those big gags out of my local Sebastian waters.
Picked the gun up on my way to the Middle Grounds Trip on Thursday. Capt Ben put me and Jerry on our first drop and said it looking like it was holding AJs. So I opted for the death death vs my normal free shaft gun which I really love by the way....just to check its performance.. I took a shot an AJ approximately 17 to 20 ft away just to see the guns true performance. So I chose a long shot. A slight pull on the trigger and the the shaft came out like a lazer. I hit the AJ in the head and the shaft went through his head with only the fins and dog box slowing down the shaft to keep it from going clean through. The AJ did not even twitch....and I am talking a long shot with a direct hit in the head.

That is one seious weapon.
A nice gun to add to the collection.

The bands on that 55 mid-handle are 5/8 dia, 28" with 3" wishbones

Not really, mine uses VERY short bands!!!

We use a 22 inch band with 3 inch wishbones on ours.

I dunno, it has a handle and it crushes the fish :D

Any comments on a 52" sea hornet rhino. It's my first gun. Owned it for 1.5 yrs.

I didn't shoot the new bands, they are 24" and 25". I didn't want to screw up my shots going to longer bands. I may shorten them up and try them later on but I'm good with the bands Ken tied up for now.
