I have seen nothing about the awards presentation, or any mention of who the token pageant girl will be (as seen in most spearfishing award ceremonies). So I have reached out to some folks in order to get such locked on. The bad news is that I have contacted the GOJ who declined to allow the use of the current reigning Miss Japan. The good news is that the Japanese Fishing Union has agreed to allow the current reigning "Miss Japanese Fishing Union" (see photo) to act as an awards presenter. The only speculation is that the fish caught are done using only pole spears and that she (Miss JFU) is allowed to eat 60% of the competition's catch.

Thats exactly what local fishermen say to safe-guard their honey holes.
