Oh...my email from the yahoo acount actually got thru Brian ?
The Yahoo system was telling me error, so I used gmail account after that and it went thru ...hhmmm, it took so long to upload...Dang ...and I am supposed to be using ADSL.

The whisling sound was from the Riffe reel. I lock it down hard.

The depth where I shot it was about 130 feet / 40 meters.
The parachute air volume within the material of the parachute ( its like a BCD ) at that depth with a single 68 gram C02 is about only 6 liters or 6.6 quarts ???

The braking force of the parachute with low air volume is better than when fully inflated because it is more like an inverted water bucket, giving full braking effect. The volume of the parachute by shape being a bucket is about 15 or so liters or 3.8 gallons.

To pull that prachute underwater at that shape & fast will take a lot of force.
This is bigger parachute than my usual, 40% bigger. The smaller parachute when a big Doggie pull fast, have created a drag enoug to snap a 1,000 lbs Kevlar at the knot ( 30% decrease in breaking strength ?? ).
I have snapped a 1,000 lbs Kevlar 3 times already and Doggie was between 100 -160 lbs. Under 80 lbs Doggie have never snapped my 1,000 lbs Kevlar, even with rocks bruising it...if no parcahute installed.

I even changed to a brand new Kevlar still with wax on it, still it snapped!!

Kevlar is not suitable for sudden strain, if you pull slowly Kevlar is GOOD, it can tow a small boat.

I thought I managed to tune the fighting gear well by not hooking up the parachute on the Kevlar line of the reel, but to clip it on the end of the cable shooting line. I am using 500lbs black plastic coated SS cable. If new, I never had the cable snapped. I also never had a crimped that slipped off like that.

Next time I must double crimped on the Ice Pick. I don't really like double crimp on the ice pick cable, it does not allow nice installation of the ice pick on the adaptor...but...have too now....:banghead:

I have another video where I lost a +- 175 lbs class Doggie. So sad, all I got is LOST LOST LOST video...Dang...:banghead:. The Kevlar did not snapped, I shoot too close at 15-17 feet and the whole 3/8" x 65 shaft went thru.....Hick Hick Hick...Dumb me. I should have shot the gill with that cannon of mine !!!!!

Enjoy guys....
