I just received an email from a guy in Tucson who is getting out of the sport. A couple of years ago he bought a Wong Mahi and a bunch of other stuff with big plans to go to Mexico, but his personal situation has changed and life has intervened. He says all the stuff is in like-new condition and he wants to price it to sell. He plans to list it on eBay but asked me if I knew of anyone who might be interested.

If you have any interest, how about sending me a PM with your email address and I'll pass it along to him.

The guy selling this stuff is trying to get registered on Spearboard, and then he will post a complete list with prices. Meanwhile, I'm forwarding all the PMs of people who have given me email addresses.

He tells me that in addition to the Mahi, he has a Riffe #3 Standard that has never been wet and three Omers of various lengths that have been modified with Wong muzzles.

I guess I've stuck myself with this middleman role for a while. If you have any interest in anything, just PM me with your email address and I'll forward it along.

Edit- the float lines are 50 feet and 75 feet. He also has a Riffe torpedo float.

Wow, talk about a firesale. I wish I had the $$$ to help take some of this stuff off his hands. I hope everything works out for the guy.

So far I've forwarded 16 email addresses to the seller. I just got this in an email from him.

I've been flat on my back with the flu the better part of today. I just logged on and was overwhelmed with the interest in my gear. I also received confirmation regarding my new Spearboard account activation. I'll put a price on everything and post it on the Spearboard member items tomorrow. Prior to this I'll email a few of the people who were interested in some very specific items and give them first shot. Anyone else contacting you regarding the gear just let them know that's what I'm going to do. I'll respond to all emails directed to that posting. Perhaps I can keep up with the emails that way instead of being so far behind the curve.

so I'm hoping to be losing my middleman job soon. Since he is new to the Spearboard thing, I don't think he understands the difference between emails and PMs, and of course those of you who are not on Spearboard won't be able to send him PMs. I've asked him if he wouldn't mind my just posting his email address, but I don't want to do that until I get permission, and he is probably nursing his flu again.

I just got an email from the seller. He has made up a price list and is sending it to everyone who gave me an email address to forward. It looks to me like there are some bargains.

After he sees what is left, he will post list to Spearboard.

Guys- it looks like he sold the Mahi and about half the other stuff to people who sent me an email address. He has now posted a new thread in this forum under the user nane Blacksheep with the rest.
