Do you recall when he proposed the same rules for recreational and commercial fishermen? The same bag limit, and if the commercials want to sell it, then they sell it.
I know we have quite a few commercial fishermen here, I was interested in what you guys thought about that, although I suspect there would be significant opposition to it.
I think if you look at it purely black and white, it meets the theory of "fair" but not "equitable."
What would it do to the price of fish at the market or on the plate? What would it do to the bag limit itself? If commercials and recs are taking the same limit, would recs go up and comms come down? Where's the midpoint?
Any thoughts?
