View Full Version : Griswold's Custom Gun Raffle
Bottom Dweller 02-02-2008, 11:58 PM OK everyone the raffle is ready to begin. We will raffle tickets for Griswold's custom speargun for the small donation of $10.00 per ticket. The raffle will end at the FSDA Banquet, February 16, 2006, and I hope to have the Norm Wyman and Poppa Taylor Award winner draw the winning ticket. All proceeds go to the FRA to help support the fight for fishermen's rights. What do you get? Griswold, Chad Morris, and Tin Man have generously donated a custom gun of your choice to be built after the raffle. You can choose from one of the models he has displayed or if you have a dream gun in mind, Chad has agreed to work with you to make it a reality. Raffle tickets can be purchased via PayPal by making payments at Paypal to the email fraauction@yahoo.com I can also accept checks made payable to the FRA. Checks need to be sent Scott Childress @ P.O. Box 694, Odessa, FL 33556. I would like to recieve all checks by the drawing date which is February 16, 2008. Therefore, please get all checks in the mail as soon as possible. The winner will be announced during the week following the FSDA Banquet. Please send a PM to my screen name, Bottom Dweller, and let me know if you have purchased via PayPal or Check, and how many tickets you have purchased. I will send you a PM back with your raffle ticket number or numbers. Thanks and lets raise some money for the FRA.

Griswold 02-14-2008, 03:39 PM It's not too late. Just send as much as you want to contribute via paypal to fraauction@yahoo.com every $10 will get you a ticket. It might be getting a little late for sending checks.

Bottom Dweller 02-15-2008, 12:18 AM Thanks everyone!!! We are getting a pretty good response to this and I believe we will be over $1000.00 by Saturday. Thank you Griswald and Tin Man. I owe you a beer for sure.
I can no longer take checks for the raffle as I will not receive them in time. The paypal part of the raffle will have to be cut off at 3:00 p.m. E.S.T., Saturday February 16th. That way I can get all the names associated with a ticket number and depart for the FSDA banquet. Thanks again to everyone who has participated and GOOD LUCK!

Gary H 02-17-2008, 10:45 AM Holy Cow! This is unbelievable! I never win ANYTHING! :bounce:
I just logged on to see who won and all I could do is stare at the computer and and say "Oh My God!"
Well, you know what this means - I'm putting my Raygun with custom Tin Man/Gary H side line release up for sale or raffle with proceeds going to the FRA!
Griswold 02-17-2008, 12:16 PM Glad you won Gary, should be fun coming up with just the right gun for you. Give it some thought and let us know what you're thinking.
Gary H 02-17-2008, 01:03 PM My wife says you Baton Rouge boys have no idea what kind of a mess you've gotten yourselves into
I'm thinking a Blue Water/Reef/Freeshafting/Bottom and Side Release/Enclosed Track one gun does it all kind of idea - with spare shaft holder :) Honestly, I haven't even given it any thought because I never expected to win.
The important part is the generosity of you and Jeff is helping to Protect Our Fishing Rights!:toast:
