OK, I have been reading the threads and wondering what is up with the new regs for grouper. Can anybody tell me all the changes? Did they only occur in federal waters or is Florida following suit? What is the limit? When is the closed season? I appreciate any input. Thanks.

Absolutely nothing has changed. The earliest the changes could take place would be April I believe and the regs probably wouldn't go into affect until then end of 2008 or the beginning of 2009. Unless they do an emergency ruling in April or June.

For rules it is always a good idea to ge tthem from the source or sources in this case as Florida and the Feds are different.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. My understanding then is the rule changes about bag limit have not taken affect yet. The season is closed in Fed waters from Feb 15-Mar 15 and there is no closure in Florida waters.
