I have been wanting to take some footage of my excursions for a while now and thought I would attempt to make a camera bracket for my gun.
This is my first attempt that I quickly threw out today. The bolts are long they are just a couple that I had laying around. I also left some room around the mount to place some foam, rubber, or cork to protect my gun from scratches and help in shock mitigation for the camera. Any thoughts on what would work well for this? Speaking of shock mitigation, I found the shock dampener on McMaster. It seems a little stiff but I will have to wait and see how well it works.
I hope to get out this weekend to test it, but after all the rain we have had here I will probably be lucky just to be able to see the camera, much less photograph anything.
Any thoughts for improvements? I was thinking about raising the camera a little for a better perspective.
