Do any of you guys shoot a rob allen with a break-away float? I have the gun rigged with a float but the gun is still attached after the shot. I'd like to see some pics if at all possible. Thanks....

Bill McIntyre 07-31-2007, 08:39 PM I don't use a Rob Allen, but some of my friends do, and they use this same Hawaiian breakaway that I use on my Wongs. Cut the shooting line so that the loop in the rear end is a few inches from the line release. Stretch a loop of bungee cord from the shooting line to the line release. Attach the clip on the front end of the float line to the loop in the shooting line. When the trigger is pulled, everything is released. jimdoe2you 07-31-2007, 09:03 PM Bill, I must say these two photos have served the spearfishing community well. FREEK 07-31-2007, 09:16 PM I am guilty of stealing Billy Mac's break away for my Rob Allen :angel3:. Works flawlessly!!! Thank you Bill:smnotworthy:..... BigWill 07-31-2007, 10:04 PM Thanks Bill, that looks super easy to put together, thanks... Marcus 07-31-2007, 10:29 PM Yes, I believe I've seen those 2 photos a few hundred times by now.:D Bill McIntyre 07-31-2007, 11:45 PM Yes, I believe I've seen those 2 photos a few hundred times by now.:D Could be, but not on this web site. :) Believe me, I realize that its something I've typed more than any other topic, but you wouldn't want me to provide links to that "other" site, would you. BigWill 08-01-2007, 12:24 AM Thanks for reposting, I would of checked "Shitboard" but I rather not even lurk over there. Choke Fish 08-01-2007, 11:57 AM Could be, but not on this web site. :) Believe me, I realize that its something I've typed more than any other topic, but you wouldn't want me to provide links to that "other" site, would you. No we dont need any queerboard links or Smearboard ones either. :birthday: Bill McIntyre 08-01-2007, 12:19 PM I guess I was half kidding about posting links to Spearboard threads, but I wish we could quit turning every thread possible into an attack. I don't have a dog in that fight and I want to stay out of it. Whatever the details of the dispute between SB moderators and owners, it didn't involve me. Out of respect for the respective owners of the sites, I won't post links from one site on the other site, but I'm still participating in both of them. Choke Fish 08-01-2007, 12:49 PM Bill I dont even know what the deal is on that site. But Im glad you can grace people on both boards with your years of experience. :fish: No attack I was only being silly as usual. :chuck: |
