What editing software do you use? What do you find to be the easiest to use? Thanks, I always enjoy your videos. I'm working on a camera bracket to attach to my gun, then hopefully I can submit some vid.

For ease of use I am liking windows movie maker. It's all click, drag and drop for everything from capturing the video, adding audio or scene transitions to end credits and burning to DVD.

I would ask Ben too (fishkilla) he is the king of U/W video and has been doing it a lot better and longer than me.

Steve,
I'm using an outdated Hitachi DVD cam I bought in 2003 with a dolphin pro housing from Ocean Images. The cool thing about my housing, it's not dedicated to my camera. When I'm ready to upgrade cameras my housing will work with almost any new camera via a few modifications from Mike down at OI.

If I were to buy a new setup now I would buy a sony HC-3 or HC-5 camera with the corresponding housing from Mike.

If you are still shopping for cameras or editing software I would ask Fishkilla. He's probably used more cameras and software than anyone on the planet. I find myself inspired and motivated to shoot more and better video after watching his. He is the modern day Jacques Cousteau of under water/spear hunting videography.

Wow! Windows Movie Maker is really easy to use. I just used it to put together some ski pics and video clips and music. Cool result.
Thanks for the info.

I'm not really happy with the quality of video off of my point and shoot digital camera. Pretty low res and grainy. I wonder if there is some way to shoot video clips at a higher resolution setting? I guess it's just the still shots in which I can adjust photo resolution. The camera is about 4 years old and I should upgrade. Someday I foresee getting a video camera and housing, but for now I just want a point and shoot digital camera which has the ability to record video clips up to about 30 seconds at decent resolution. With an underwater housing I can then attach it to my gun and it should be manageable underwater. Anyone with suggestions on a camera which seems to work well for this? How's the quality of video images with the SeaLife DC600 and ReefMaster Mini? This might be a better option since it will be a smaller and lighter attachment on my gun.

Thanks again for the info. I'm currently rehabbing my shoulder after surgery last week. So perhaps in a couple of months I can post some video.
