View Full Version : Strangest Day Ever, Big fish wierd places
Yesterday was the wierdest day ever, big fish were in places they just shouldn't have been for this part of south Florida. Shot the cobia off a bull shark that charged me in 10ft of water after I shot one of the hogs. One of the blacks was swimming just below the surface and I shot him from the boat while driving the boat, seriously. It wasn't injured or inflated, and was in shallow water. One of the divers in the water who I was going to pick up saw the whole thing, really crazy stuff for this part of the world.
The mutton was 15.6lbs in the sand in the middle of nowhere
here is a few of the fish, enjoy while the wind blows

Those blacks up in the water column are sweet. Got one last year that was a few feet under the surface swimming with some chubs, mimicking their schooling behavior. Didn't get it from the boat though, that is crazy...
Dive safe,

Bucket One 03-18-2008, 10:05 PM Dude, shooting a grouper from the boat is redneck spearfishing at its best!:)
Amazing. Weird is an understatement. I would venture to say that no one has ever shot a black grouper from the boat in Miami....ever. Gods must have been looking upon you. Nevertheless, nice fish either way.
kitefisherman 03-18-2008, 10:35 PM Pretty amazing Jason! After the seas calm down, let's go hit those deep wrecks that you called me about.
