Hey guys, I just thought I would chime in and say hello. I joined up here about a month ago, but haven't been around much. I met Toecheese shuckin' oysters at a Gypsy Divers event in Raleigh and he told me about this forum.
My spearing has been limited to inshore flounder, sheepshead and tautog gigging with a pole spear or little Biller, mostly on the AR's off Morehead in 60 fsw. I am getting more and more interested in the deeper offshore stuff and the groupers and hogs. 90% of my diving is from my boat or a friends, both low to mid 20 something center consoles. I am currently in the market for something towards 30'. I run out of Beaufort inlet, and have a shared house in Morehead that we affectionately call the Swamphouse, but thats a whole nuther story.
Some of you guys might know me from ncdivers.com. That is a pretty decent group, mostly cavers, quarry and mild tec dive divers, not so much into spearing. I do post there a bit under the same name.
Feel free to PM me if you need an extra guy in the water or topside who can run a boat, diving anywhere in Onslow Bay. I live in Durham and will hit the road in the middle of the night at the drop of a hat to go diving. I currently have around 170 dives, all in the last 5 years, 128 fsw is my max so far (and I intend to keep it that way), and have certs in EAN and rescue, currently doing DM.
I look forward to meeting you guys and spending more of my "online" time here.
