I’m throwing the idea around of buying another gun. I currently shoot a JBL, I like it (despite the na sayers) and have no real reason to get another gun besides the fact that I have to follow the “he who dies with the most toys” theory. I have an opportunity to get a euro gun at a good price but I have never shot one. From what I was told they shoot straighter and longer than conventional (open track) guns. Is this true or am I getting the salesmans version of things?

What type of diving are you doing and were? I have a 130 rob allen and I would not recomend it for scuba shooting but some use them on scuba & love them. They shoot great but are a PITA to load on scuba IMHO.

:2gunsfiring_v1: You need to shoot some fish with the gun you have. I was hoping you were going to learn by watching me pull the trigger last time out.

They look like this :fish: and you do this :BoomSmilie_anim: :fish: :bounce:

Should I type LOUDER so you get it?:D

Remember this? You were there or were ya?

Try a bunch out first.
I used a Euro a couple of times, and while they are accurate I don't like the loading and unloading process or the thinner shafts
I much prefer my riffe and hiploading. I don't notice a difference in accuracy either.

I've got both. I prefer the American style. Much easier to load.

The straighter and longer theory is probably mostly a sales pitch. They usually have a thinner and lighter shaft, which translates to less weight. That means less inertia, so it's easier to accelerate, but also easier to slow down.

Also easier to bend the shaft.
