Mikerotch

Headed out Friday as guests of I'mhungry on board the "Change Order" from St. Simons to "G" reef. Conditions were a bit choppy but bearable. Besides I'mhungry and Mikerotch we had Dr. Pinksnapper and Jess who we will refer to from now on as "Seasick." First drop was for Paul (Dr. Pinksnapper) and Seasick on a barge in about 40'. Seasick was prepared to go but it took a while to find the barge so he simply sat in his new 5 mil and heated up. After a while he dropped his BC and moved quickly to the side where he began chumming with what had been a nice Chick-Fil-A breakfast. To his credit (or debit, depending on your viewpoint) he reprepared for entry and hit the water for his dive with Dr. PS, although he was about 5 lbs light in the weight department. After a herculean effort he and Dr PS made it to the bottom where they found crappy vis, a strong current, and few fish. They rose over the barge at which point Seasick lost the battle with the inadequate weight and hit the surface like a Trident missile. Dr PS stayed in a while looking for the missing Seasick only to find out later that he had been on top with us for a while catching up on his rather volatile abdominal exercises.
We then moved to some rubble in the area where Mikerotch, I'mhungry and Dr PS prepared to enter while Seasick remained in his new found favorite spot on the boat, mid starboard. Once the water cleared from Seasick's activities, we took the opportunity to roll in during a rather violent stretch of his dry heaves, figuring we wouldn't have to worry about him launching any chicken parts on us at that time. Upon descent, the convicts showed up in force. I was like a lesbian at a cucumber festival trying to pick which ones to shoot. After hodding a couple of nice sheeps, the ARS showed up and I introduced him to the 5/16 shaft that I've grown to love. Lost one really big ARS (the one that got away is always big) and finished the dive with I believe 9 convicts and the 1 ARS. I'mhungry experienced technical difficulties and called it a dive after a couple of nice convicts and a big combination square, bowline, halfhitch, truckersknot, and improved clinch knot with a nice partially dissected sheepshead in the middle. Dr PS came through with a couple of nice ARS and several sheeps. We surfaced to find Seasick leaning over the side to greet us, although it was difficult in all the commotion to understand him. It had something to do with his buddies Ralph and Earl and a Buick, or something. Water temp was 68. Pics to fiollow if I can figure it out. Rest of the story when I have time, meanwhile I have to go earn some money to send to the department.
