This is something I've wanted to do for the St. Pete Open for last 2 years but between one thing or another I've never gotten the project started in time. This year I have. I'm donating this 23-inch by 17-inch stained glass hogfish to the prize table. Pictured here is the fish at about 75% complete. I still need to mount it to an oval background that will be blue water glass and finish up the rigging so it'll be ready to hang in some lucky shooter's house. My digital camera is at the shop so these were taken with my cell phone.....not the best quality but you get the picture. The red snout doesn't show all that well in these pictures but it really sets it in person.

Bryan,
Will you go ahead and make me one of those to honor my TBSC hogfish trophy for 2007?

Unknowingly to you I have already taken care of ya Howie. With much thought I have completed this masterpiece for your front door. The “Big O” represents the many empty stringers you’ve brought up :D

Thanks for the kind words everyone!! It's been a lot of fun (albeit frustrating at times but what project isn't?) and I look forward to seeing someone pick it up as their prize.

Bryan, I've seen stained glass art made before, and even tried it myself once. Therefore, I know first-hand how much time, creativity and work has gone into this piece. It's one helluva nice prize!

Nice work Bryan! My Mom does stained glass, so I have seen the amount of work that goes into that stuff. You did an incredible job there.

One of the best artist renditions of a Hog, nice lines. Very accurate IMO.
I wish I was shooting in the SPO for a crack at that prize.
