got out today w/ MDSPEAR. we did some shallow reefs/ledges 50ft because he had friends in town.
i shot a mutton and hog. grouper are deeper.
vis 100ft blue
current slight from the east
seas 2ft
i also got some video/pics.
bugs are plentyfull....will be a good opening day for bugs if you know where to look!!

The vis on the Maryland Shoal hump was the best I have ever seen yesterday. Easily 100 feet. I could see my baits on the bottom in 70 feet. We limited out on flags then when the taxmen came we did shark dive in the extreme vis. There were 6 bulls cruising around but they were pretty calm so my charter clients and I got a kick out of swimming with them, especially after 20 hours of shark week on the D channel.
Things got a little crazy when we dropped them a few chumbombs so we called it.

wade had friends in town and he was checking our local lobster population in regards to opening tommorrow.
i was just freediving and screwing around. i knew that where we were going was not going to have large grouper.
but man o man did i see some large lobsters!!

I was serious about your new leap in to underwater photoghraphy. You are getting better at it all the time. Next thing you know you will have your own T.V. show. "Wild on Key West":D
