No 20 pound grounds hogs or massive deep water grouper.
Venice beach this morning, my personal favorite site, end of Alhambra st. Vis about 10 feet. Dove to a whopping technical max depth of 21 fsw. Still a very healthy reef if you slow down to enjoy what's there, very relaxed diving for sure and still a very productive spot for Meg teeth.
If you haven't drove down for a day trip off the beach or out with Jamie on the Aristacat, the time is now.

That is a great place to dive- and it's the only place I've ever seen a searobin (one of your pics). Jim's Dive Shop goes there a lot- huge mammoth tooth they found there on display. You got some impressive teeth- I usually only get small ones.

Hi Adam
I like your pics, they still have great color to them --was it the shallow depth or is your photoshop that good. Which camera were you using, any filters?
Laura & I were out with Seatux a few days ago I'll try to send some of those pics over-she's using the Intova for the 1st time (you told me about!!)

Adam,

With these beach dives, are you just walking your gear out to the beach and hopping in?

YES! It really is a cheap & easy day. I back my truck up to the curb, throw on my tank & BC and huff it down to the water. Probably a 50 yard hike across the beach. If I do multiple tanks I just take a different heading off the beach for new scenery.

One of my favorite tiny reefs is at the end of Alhambra and leave from the 2 big storm drains at the beach and do a WSW heading. Can't miss it in about 19 feet.

If anybody ever wants to meet up let me know. We should do a SpearfishingPlanet sharks tooth hunt. Would be cool to see about 100 people show up at the beach on the same day to dive! Or if anybody is going with Jamie one weekend and needs an extra diver let me know too.
