The short version:
Vis was usually 8-10 and hazy, sometimes dropping to 4 and very hazy in open spots. Life wasn't really there. Bagged a 19" corbina on the way out.
Went for a dive at the northernmost area of CC, apparently known as treasure cove. Never been to that side of CC before so I just paddled around exploring a bit. Didn't get out to deeper water because boat traffic was really heavy out of the harbor and there were idiots screaming by me even at my closer distances. Swam from treasure cove to little corona and then from little corona all the way around the southern point of treasure and never saw much worth mentioning, save a couple of small calicos that were hitting a small school of pinhead smelt.
I took a long shot at a freeswimming corbina in about 10 feet of water at one of the lower vis areas loaded with eelgrass and missed. As I was reloading, I got buzzed by a school of huge spotfin croakers:slap:
Dove from about 1130 to 1730. Water is really warm, probably >72 as I get a little cold after a few hours at 72 and I never even got cold today.
