I'm putting my trusty vessel up for sale. This boat has been great to me and its hull is solid with a very dry ride. Here are some specifics and pictures as my friend and I redid the floor and laboured countless hours getting it up to speed.

Has 1998 225 Mercury in good shape and runs well without never giving me a problem. Its 100 hour service performed Jan/08. This boat rarely needed me to push it in excess of 4K rpm. Cruising speed about 30+ knots. Not sure on its top speed, although I did about 45+ a few times and without taking it full throttle. This boat flies.

Bennett Trim tabs, antifouling paint, customized starboard dive platforms and stainless steel back plate supporting engine. 50 gallon tank. Three bilge pumps, including an automatic one. VHF and AM/FM radio (although I can't find the face). Floor refirbished with awl grip two years ago.

Dual battery, Furono FCV 600L LCD Color Fish Finder. SS prop plus spare.

Aluminum Two axle trailer in good shape with new axles, springs (25.25), new never-used spare, new brake lights.

Asking $9,800. PM here or call my mobile at 305-987-8851. Boat is located in Port St. Lucie.

Older Mako's ride better than the newer ones. Judging by the pics he's got a lot of work in it, and it's done right. Nice Rolo!!!:toast:Is the Merc a DFI? Bump for a smoking deal....

I'm not really sure about the MPG, it's a carburated engine, so it is thirsty. Likely for me 1-1.5 mpg as I don't speed to any spots or rarely took it past 4K rpm. I will say this about the engine, I purchased it for the FWC mechanic in South Florida. He had it on his own personal boat, it was very well taken care of and as I stated before, it has NEVER given me any problems in four and a half years. These engines can run forever if you take care of it.

Forgot to mention boat has a VHF radio, AM/FM radio (lost the face), three bilge pumps, including one which is automatic. It has a 50 gallon gas tank. And a spare aluminum prop.

Thanks Frank!

Not a problem Rolo!! Good thing it's not a DFI, '98 was their first year out and they had a A LOT of problems. Pretty hard to beat a carburated motor in terms of reliabilty and easy to work on. Somebody needs to buy this boat. NOW!!!

Rolo you are killing me man. This is my dream boat. I wish I had the bread and space for it. I always wanted a Mako. Maybe I can work on something to take her off your hands. It might take a while but I will try my hardest.

Let me know Mike, it sure rides good. There are alot of divers on this board that will vouch for her. It is also geared for diving.
