Thinking about doing a week down here with you guys. Interested in diving/spearing/fishing, ( would like to catch some dolphin and tuna/ maybe wahoo . Not really interested in sailfish or marlin. /lobstering/seeing some sights, little nightlife, good eating places. Had looked at a place where this guy puts you up for 6 nights and you get 3 days fishing on his boat for like $ 3,000.00. Not sure of all the details on it because my buddy is working on it. Questions are, which is the best month to come for my listed activities, which is the don't come months ? Any reccommendations on packages like above, fishing / staying ? Thanks

Where in the Keys? Nightlife pretty much means Key West, but there are good restaurants all up & down the Keys.

For Upper Keys, you can't beat Becky (Keyone) for good cheap lodging.

Lots of folks on here that can help with specifics depending on where you want to stay. Also plenty of boats looking gas money. The spearing doesn't change much unless you go west of Key West.

if you want to lobster, make sure you come in season (august to march). don't know about any packages, but rentals are usually cheaper in the summer which is our tourism "offseason." just realize that it's hurricane season then. march is spring break & everything is crazy expensive. last week of october is fantasy fest in key west which means everything is booked or very expensive. our weather is better for diving (not so windy-we'll have weeks straight of 15+ kts) in the summer, but the fish are in more & shallower in the winter.
