I have it from a reliable source -well, someone said it. Ok, it was me- that the lobsters are working on becoming a nuclear power & becoming a menace to our southeastern seaboard.

To counter this menace, we're undertaking strike missions consisting of dedicated nitrox breathers to ID, locate, abduct, cook & eat as many of their top scientists as we can. I'm told that the smartest ones tastes the best, so we'll be forced to sample frequently, with plenty of rum & cold beer on the side, to be sure we're getting the right ones.

Can't wait for thursday, 1st dives that morning.

Staying in Deerfield beach. Thursday we're doing 2 or maybe 3 tanks drifting the deeper reefs out of Palm Beach, then friday is 3 tanks out of Boynton beach with a possible beach nite dive in ft Lauderdale, 2 tanks saturday morning drifting the deeper reefs out of Ft Lauderdale with a beach dive somewhere that afternoon. Then back home on sunday.

Taking the guns, too, as all boat dives have been arranged to allow spearing, which they don't always do on the charters there.

Trying to cram more fun than we should be allowed to have into 3 days.

Didn't do too bad. 8 dives in 3 days. Got some bugs but we caught a LOT with eggs that had to be released. Shot a few hog fish & finally got eat some, quite good. the last dive saturday was a beach dive, chick I was with shot a hog fish. about 20 minutes later a 4 to 5 ft shark came in & got a bit obnoxious. Her husband chased it off once, by poking at it lightly. It came back in a couple of minutes & I went alpha on it. It left in a bit of a hurry & we never saw it again, though we were out about 40 minutes more.

Some dives had ripping current flying over the reef was like being in low earth orbit, LOL, others had mild current & were relaxed. Viz ranged from well over 100 feet to a low of may 20, which was on the reef right off the beach in 15 FSW.
