We are going out Friday June 20th with Keys Mobile Diving for some free diving. Tentative plans are to ride out to Marquesas weather permitting. We have room for others who would like to join. If interested send me a PM.

i'm out of town that weekend so you may be receiving a pm from jeff soon...whenever he finally gets back from the tortugas, which should be today.

I just dropped a buddy and his girlfriend off in Marco Island yesterday, he went down to the Marquesas for a week. He's in a 22' CC Eastern with a Honda OB. I think teal dodger and bimini. He'll be sleeping in the South entrance of Marquesas Key-Mooney Harbor. His name is Carl, and he'll be freediving only, no tanks this trip. Stop and say hello, and tell him Steve sent you. He's a character, so be ready for some funny stories! Lynn and I went down a month ago, and did OK, except for the wind most of the time. We freedove only, and got some nice fish, biggest grouper was 18 lbs black. Bull sharks were very thick, more than we had ever seen. Every time we dove outside or fished at the anchorage inside, we saw bull sharks. We did get some nice muttons too as it was full moon.

I might see you out there on friday, it's looking like my dad is going to take the day off, so if you see a 27' contender with a dive flag flying it's probably us.

Well how was it? My buddy Carl said it was flat and clear while he was out there.

Fish were hard to find for the freedivers, but it was a very nice day. There was a long weedline close in & one diver had a wahoo come in & steal a triggerfish off his spear. No viz until Cosgrove, @ 18nm from KW.

Lynn and I are going down again for a week, the last week in August-at this point. We are trying to get other boats to go down with us or meet us.
