It's summer time.....these will get the party started :D.
REAL Mexican Margaritas.
Serves: 4
1 Lime, quarterd
1/4 Cup Kosher Salt
6 ounces Controy-Licor de Naranjas (Orange Liqueur)
6 Ounces Patron Anejo White Tequila
3 Ounces Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
1 lime, slices
1. Wet rims of 4 galsses with fresh lime quarters, and thoroughly coat rims of galsses with salt by inverting each glass into a plate of salt.
2. Fill glasses with cracked ice.
3. Pour Controy, tequila and 3 ounces of lime juice into a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake well.
4. Strain into salt-rimmed glasses
5. Garnish with slice of lime on each glass.
Gringo warning:
These margaritas are not to be taken lightly. They go down smooth, but hit hard, so do not serve one to the designated driver.
Don't substitute cheaper materials. Pony up.
