Yep you got me.:rofl:   Mine either? :p stevemc1 06-27-2008, 08:00 AM I am not sure how much Mercs reed plates are, but Boyenson reed plates are about $100 plus the gaskets. Or used to be. Usually that shows by a slight backfireing out the carbs or throttle body at an idle, even when its running up some. Its not too hard of a swap, just clean the gasket areas well, and use new gaskets and seal it. stevemc1 06-27-2008, 08:08 AM Looks like the mercury ones are $700! There is some new ones on eBay for much less, $135 i think. Check that out. They are Mercury ones, not Boyeson. ITSABOUTTIME 06-27-2008, 01:16 PM I have a parts motor now so I have new reeds boysens are 185 on Ebay and the claim better power and economy, would this really be noticable? I always ran boysen reeds in my dirt bike |
