who has a cast net with fine mesh 8 to 12ft that isn't using it? i managed to completely destroy mine in about 10ft of water yesterday while trying for "one last" throw and then we'll go.

i'm willing to pay cash, trade equipment, dvd's... which ever you need.

If you tell him what size bait you're after and the water conditions, he can help you select exactly what you need. All nets are built to order. The turnaround on a 10', 5/8" mesh (1 1/4 stretch), 15 pound net was 3 days for me week before last.

Tim is an engineer that has designed a net that has no extra mesh making it sink fast and open flat as a pancake. If the bait is there, you'll only need to throw it once.:toast:

the other main reason for wanting to go cheap is the fact that this net will be used to capture small rodents to use for chum for the 5th annual seffner shootout coming up this fall. it's always held after the SPO and during the first hurricane blowout weekend. 1st Annual Seffner Shootout Thread (http://www.spearboard.com/showthread.php?t=688&highlight=seffner+shootout)

marcus i have a set of beauchats that are held together with duct tape. i have to replace the duct tape about once a quarter or depending on how rigorous a dive schedule i'm up against. right now they are blue with a very stylish lime green duct tape ensemble. after the green tape runs out they will once again be blue with grey duct tape.

So you must be the guy that buys him a beer each year at the St. Pete Open! The only flaw in that plan is that the meeting might end abruptly when you all get thrown out after Marcus unbuttons his shirt and whips out his little cubera in the restaurant. He's very proud of it so it seems. :D
